A new local care service in London from leading home care provider, The Good Care Group

What is hourly care?

Hourly care, also known as ‘visiting care’ or ‘domiciliary care’ offers you the flexibility and support to receive care on an hourly basis whilst cherishing the many things that come with home care, such as seeing loved ones, keeping your routines and gardening. This form of care involves our carers popping into your home for as little as one hour per day, three times a week based on your circumstances and preference.

As with all our care services, we can offer you support in all aspects of your care needs, preferences and well-being. Your care plan will be tailored specifically to your requirements and can encompass a range of duties such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility assistance and companionship so that you can continue to do all the activities you enjoy most.

Why may I need hourly care?

There are many reasons why someone may choose to have hourly care, such as:

Flexibility

Hourly care is a great alternative to live-in care as flexibility can be arranged in terms of when and how often you want care to be provided. It gives you the choice to receive care on your own schedule, whether this is for a few hours per day or a few hours per week.

dementia Affordability

Depending on your care requirements and what is the best care solution for you, visiting care can be more cost effective than around-the-clock care, making it a very accessible choice.

companionship Improve quality of life

Hourly care can improve the quality of life for you, by introducing new activities, increasing social interaction and experiences that may not be achieved day-to-day by yourself.

Respite to family caregivers

Receiving care on a per hour basis can provide respite to a family caregiver who needs time to take a break from caregiving responsibilities. It will give them peace of mind, whilst they take time to attend other commitments.

 Recovering from surgery or injury

If you are recovering from a recent injury, you may require hourly care assistance to support you along the way. Our carers can assist you with mobility and medication management, which can give you and your loved one peace of mind.

Maintaining independence

Having a carer pop in on an hourly basis can improve your well-being by assisting you with light house work, personal care and medication management, whilst remaining independent and having control over your daily routine.
