Why may I need hourly care?
There are many reasons why someone may choose to have hourly care, such as:
Flexibility
Hourly care is a great alternative to live-in care as flexibility can be arranged in terms of when and how often you want care to be provided. It gives you the choice to receive care on your own schedule, whether this is for a few hours per day or a few hours per week.
Affordability
Depending on your care requirements and what is the best care solution for you, visiting care can be more cost effective than around-the-clock care, making it a very accessible choice.
Improve quality of life
Hourly care can improve the quality of life for you, by introducing new activities, increasing social interaction and experiences that may not be achieved day-to-day by yourself.
Respite to family caregivers
Receiving care on a per hour basis can provide respite to a family caregiver who needs time to take a break from caregiving responsibilities. It will give them peace of mind, whilst they take time to attend other commitments.
Recovering from surgery or injury
If you are recovering from a recent injury, you may require hourly care assistance to support you along the way. Our carers can assist you with mobility and medication management, which can give you and your loved one peace of mind.
Maintaining independence
Having a carer pop in on an hourly basis can improve your well-being by assisting you with light house work, personal care and medication management, whilst remaining independent and having control over your daily routine.

What’s included with hourly care?
Hourly carers can help to support you with the following:
Personal care
Our carers will care for you in the comfort of your own home, whilst you are surrounded by the memories you cherish. This includes supporting you with personal care, such as dressing and toileting.
Safe mobility
If you experience challenges with your mobility, our carers will be on hand to support you with this. All our carers are fully trained in moving and handling to ensure that you can move comfortably around your home.
Companionship
If you are living by yourself and require a companion to accompany you in doing the things you love, like visiting your local coffee shop or walks in the park, our carers can call in and assist you whilst you continue doing the things that are meaningful to you.
Running errands
Whether you need support with your usual grocery shopping or picking up your prescription, our carers will be on hand as and when you need them.
Medication support
Our carers can pop in at scheduled times throughout the day to support you with your medication. They are fully trained in keeping track of medication schedules by using our online system.
Food prep & cooking
Our carers can cook and prepare your favourite meals and snacks whilst they visit and ensure that you continue to have a healthy balanced diet.
Whilst cost is essential, it should not be the only factor to consider. Most families focus on finding the best possible care that meets the individuals needs.
