Why may I need home care?
Depending on your personal circumstances, there are various reasons why you may need to receive home care:
A wish to stay at home
Home care has become an increasingly popular alternative compared to moving into a care home, as you can remain in the comfort of your own home surrounded by your friends, family or pet if you have one. We will ensure to support you with all aspects of your care needs, preferences and well-being.
Complex health conditions
If you are living with complex health conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s or multiple sclerosis, you may benefit from receiving continuity of care and monitoring from our trained professionals.
After hospital care
If you have recently been discharged from hospital after receiving surgery and require extra assistance when moving around, taking medication and packing a wound. Our team of carers can support you for as little as one-hour a day, three times a week up until you have recovered.
Companionship
Loneliness and isolation can have an impact on well-being and quality of life. Our carers will take a kind and empathetic approach when providing companionship and support. We carefully select the most suitable carer for you by ensuring that their values and interests align with yours.
Improve quality of life
Home care can improve the quality of life for you, by introducing new activities, increasing social interaction and experiences that may not be achieved day-to-day by yourself.
Aging
As you get older, you may experience challenges with personal care, mobility issues, or health conditions that can put a strain on living independently. With Cherished Home Care we will give you the choice and support you need to gain your independence back.
