Join our care team in London

If you’re looking for a work-life balance tailored to your lifestyle, featuring great breaks for your well-being, we want to connect with you.

We’re actively seeking live-in care assistants to support our clients in and around London and the South East. We’re looking for experienced carers to support our clients with higher care needs, working on average 10 – 12 hours per day on a live-in basis.  We’ll ensure you have all the support you need, with generous breaks in placement to enable you to provide the best care possible to your client.

Care assistants typically stay with clients for a minimum of 6 weeks, though many choose to stay longer. Enjoy the support of our expert team, and a generous daily break of at least three hours, enabling you to explore the local community and experience the sites of London during your breaks.

If you’re ready to embrace a fulfilling and flexible caregiving role working in and around London, we’d love to hear from you!

  • £45 travel expense permitted for each one way journey to/from your placement
  • Funded Blue Light Card – giving you access to lots of discounts to both online and highstreet retailers
  • Free training in London or Oxford, with opportunities to further develop your knowledge through our ongoing training courses
  • Assistance programme – free confidential advice line supporting you in times of need
  • Free enhanced DBS
  • 24/7 on call support
  • Generous ‘Refer A Friend’ Scheme
  • We offer longer placements which enable you to spend more time building a meaningful relationship with the person you care for and that give you flexibility to fit your work pattern around your lifestyle choices
  • You will be engaged to work with us for the duration of your placement. We handle all your tax and national insurance deductions during that period, so that’s one less thing for you to think about, you will also be paid a holiday entitlement

About you

You’ll be a ‘people person’ and enjoy engaging in conversation and creating enjoyable moments with our clients. Whether you have experience as a live-in carer, a support worker, a care assistant in residential or domiciliary care, or as an HCA within the NHS, if you share our dedication to providing quality care, we invite you to apply.

It’s important you have the following:

  • Minimum of six months’ professional care experience: This should be obtained in any professional care setting.
  • Documentation of the right to work in the UK: This could include a British passport, settled or pre-settled status through the EU settlement scheme, or a valid visa allowing unrestricted work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate sponsorship or visa requests, including those related to health and social care visas.
  • Flexibility for travel within London and surrounding areas. The nature of the role requires you to be adaptable and capable of commuting to various client placements.

At Cherished Home Care, companionship is at the heart of what we do. We’re looking for carers who are not just caregivers, but also compassionate companions who build lasting relationships with our clients. If you’re passionate about making a difference through meaningful connections, we’d love to have you on our team.

About the role

We have clients based in London as well as across the UK.  You will be living with a client for the duration of your chosen work pattern. You’ll look after one person or at times a couple, following a person centred care plan where you’ll tailor your support to meet your clients’ needs.

Duties are likely to include:

  • Assisting with daily activities

About us

At Cherished Home Care, our focus is on empowering individuals through choice. As a live-in care assistant you could be supporting our clients in London or throughout England.  Your role is to facilitate people in living life on their own terms. This means granting them the freedom to choose where, when, and how they receive care.

In return, we offer you the flexibility to select a working pattern that aligns with your lifestyle, access to ongoing training and development tailored to your personal growth, and the opportunity to be part of a company dedicated to providing round-the-clock support, so you can provide the best home care to our clients.
